What a delight. Nestled in the heart of Cambridge, Cambridge University Botanic Gardens sits in 40 acres of utter beautifulness.

So it’s a Saturday afternoon, the sun is shining and there really is no better place to be. Surrounded by the most beautiful plants and trees, we roll out our picnic blanket and get ready for some serious people watching (which soon turned into an afternoon nap for me).

"There is no beginning and no end to a garden, it is a set of processes, not a product... Not to mention a lot of luck."

— Carol Klein

...and relax!

The cafe is a really lovely one too. With home cooked food and a salad bar, it has a great menu for a summer lunch. Not to mention the Mr Whippy that followed soon after. Can’t express enough what a beautiful place this is, and we are so lucky to have it on our doorstep.

Well done Cambridge!
