I, like many, have removed a number of single use plastic items from my business as well as my home, and have submitted my application for a gold membership. And you know what? It was so much easier than I thought. Here are just a few ways I have made a difference.

Who gives a crap about toilet roll
Did you know that over 1 million trees are destroyed every year just to make ‘regular’ toilet paper? If that isn’t enough of a reason to use sustainable toilet roll, then surely the beautiful individually packaged rolls and witty copy will have you convinced.

Quench your thirst with Waterdrop
We’ve managed to get through our fair share of plastic bottles as our kids are forever dropping them. Now 8, we finally trusted Hugo with a Waterdrop water bottle. Double-walled stainless steel keeps your drink ice cold for up to 24 hour, which during the summer has been a real luxury for this kid!

Get cleaning with Neat
I feel like I have tested them all, and I am delighted to say that Neat is a keeper. I tried Smol (weirdest scent of any cleaning product I have used!) and Purdy and Figg (far too pricey to maintain long-term), but neither of them were as effective as Neat. The scent is subtle but beautiful, and the cleaning power is second to none. Highly, highly recommend.

Travel back in time with milk bottles
Have you ever thought about just how much plastic we get through every day by using milk in our tea or on our cereals? With two growing boys in this house (and not to mention my tea intake), I decided to use Milk and More to get my milk delivered in reusable glass bottles. And I love it! Go Wild for deodorant
Being plastic free doesn’t just stop at my business. I’ve taken the plunge by using a plastic free deodrant and lip balm from Wild. And I am absolutely thrilled by it. The smell (it is all about the smell!) is simply divine and the products themselves are great. I highly recommend.
